Privacy Policy

The short version
This is a small advisory practice, not a platform. The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising. The personal data we receive is what you choose to send: the contact form, and, if you book a call, the booking details Cal.com passes to us. We use it to answer you or to hold the meeting. Nothing here is sold, rented, or added to a mailing list.
Who we are
TeakCharge Pte Ltd is a Singapore-incorporated commercial strategy and implementation practice, operating as TeakCharge Commercial Strategy and Implementation. This policy covers teakcharge.com. It does not cover services that belong to other companies, even where this site links to them.
For anything about your data, use the contact form and mark your message "Data protection", or write to the registered office at the foot of this page. It reaches the practice directly.
What this site collects
The contact form. When you submit it, we receive your name, your email address, and your message. We use it to answer you and for nothing else. The form is handled by Formspree, which passes the submission on to us.
Booking a call. Our booking page links out to Cal.com. If you book, Cal.com collects the details you give it under its own privacy terms, on its own systems, and passes us the booking: your name, your email address, the time you chose, and anything you write in the booking notes. We use that to hold the meeting and to follow up on it.
Subscribing to APAC Signal. The newsletter is published on Substack. If you subscribe, you do that on Substack, under Substack's terms, and your email address is held on Substack's systems under Substack's terms. As the publisher we can see the subscriber list inside Substack. Substack does not forward each signup to us as a separate submission, and we do not import that list into any separate marketing database of our own.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information, including your IP address, in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Analytics. This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless service. It records the page visited, the referring source, browser, operating system, device type, and the country derived from your IP address, which is not itself stored. The result is aggregated and cannot be linked back to you. We use it only to see which pages are worth keeping.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. It does not use local storage, session storage, or device fingerprinting. Its one web font is served from this site's own domain, so no font provider sees your visit. There is therefore nothing to consent to and no cookie banner, which is deliberate.
If you follow a link out to Cal.com, Substack, or LinkedIn, those services set their own cookies under their own policies once you are there.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012, we collect and use the details you send so that we can respond to your enquiry or booking, keep a record of that conversation, and run the practice. You provide those details voluntarily when you write or book. You may withdraw that consent by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect earlier use of the information, and it may not require deletion where we are permitted or required by law to keep a record.
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, treat the same processing as resting on your request to be contacted and on our interest in answering a business enquiry. The practical position is identical, because the only data we hold is what you sent us.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data, and we do not share it with anyone outside that list except where the law requires it. The named providers behind each category are available on request through the contact form.
Data leaving Singapore
The services above operate outside Singapore, so a message you send is processed overseas. Where the PDPA requires arrangements for transfer, we rely on the protections those providers offer under their own terms and on any data-processing terms in place with them. In practice the volume is small: a handful of enquiries and booking records.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and booking records are kept for two years from the last time we were in contact, then deleted, unless the exchange turned into an engagement, in which case the client record is kept for as long as the law and the engagement require. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Analytics data is aggregated, is not personal data, and is retained by the analytics service on its own schedule.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you can ask us what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used, ask us to correct anything wrong, and withdraw your consent to us holding it. Use the contact form, marked "Data protection". We will respond as soon as reasonably possible. If we cannot complete a response within thirty days, we will tell you within that period when we expect to.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also ask for a copy in portable form, ask us to restrict or stop the processing, and complain to your own supervisory authority.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS and holds no database of its own: there is no login and no account, and we operate no website database of contact submissions. Messages are handled in the provider, email and calendar systems described above. We take reasonable steps to keep them safe, though no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
Children
This site is aimed at business readers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Other sites
Where we link out, we do not control what those sites do. A link is not an endorsement of their privacy practices.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
